Søren Kierkegaard had a prophetic sense of the human conditions in a modern, changing world. To read Kierkegaard is to find oneself in a continuous existential dialogue with a person one has never met — but who at times knows me better than I know myself, and who has been in my situation long before I found myself in it.

Great Danes in the Golden Age is a series of four evenings in covering the work, lives and philosophical heritage of three Danish thinkers whose ideas and visions made it beyond the borders of Denmark already in their own lifetime, covering a time span from 1783-1875.

This evening, the series continue with an introduction to the worldknown Danish philosopher, Søren Kierkegaard – by Lic. theol. and Director of the Søren Kierkegaard Research Centre, Joakim Garff.

Following the introduction of approximately one hour, participants will be divided into groups and take on group discussions based on a fixed set of questions.

After an hour of group discussion, we will gather around a light treatment of tapas and wine to share each other's thoughts and ideas.

Pia Søltoft, Ph.D. and Rev., Christians Church, will facilitate the shared discussion.
