Edward Broadbridge, born in London in 1944 and married in Denmark in 1967, has spent the last 12 years translating Grundtvig's writings into six English volumes.
He talks about the biggest challenge of all: translating the hymns and the songs.
This evening marks the end of a series of four individual arrangements covering the work, lives and philosophical heritage of three Danish thinkers whose ideas and visions made it beyond the borders of Denmark already in their own lifetime, covering a time span from 1783-1875.
Contrary to prior evenings, there will be no group discussion; instead, participants will sing a selection of the translated hymns. Musical accompaniment by Søren Johannsen, organist at Christian's Church.
During the evening, there will be a light serving of tapas and wine.
