Great Danes in The Golden Age

The planned series of four evenings to be held January-April 2022 have been cancelled/postponed due to varoius reasons.

Great Danes in the Golden Age is a series of four evenings in covering the work, lives and philosophical heritage of three Danish thinkers whose ideas and visions made it beyond the borders of Denmark already in their own lifetime, covering a time span from 1783-1875.

Arranged with expats and other non-Danish speakers in mind, the evenings aim to offer a deeper understanding of Denmark’s cultural heritage – and a way to meet other people living and working abroad. The evenings are, however, open for anyone interested; only requirement is the ability to full participation in English.

When: Spring 2022
Dates: Wednesday January 26th, February 23rd, March 30th, and April 27th.
All evenings from 6 pm - 21.30 pm (latest end time).

The concept

Beginning with a presentation (45-60 minutes) on the topic of the evening, participants will be divided into groups in order to partake an hour of group discussion. *

The discussion will be based on a fixed set of questions and, naturally, inspired by the evening’s presentation.

Following the group discussion, participants will gather around a light treatment on tapas and wine, sharing the thoughts discussed in the groups.

Moderator: Pia Søltoft, Rev. Christians Kirke.
